These terms apply when you buy a digital product or order the done-for-you email service from Mailplate. Mailplate is the trading name of a UK sole trader ("we", "us"). Our full business name appears on every receipt and invoice, and we will give it to you on request. Contact: [email protected]. Address: [business postal address].

If you buy as a consumer, you have legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Nothing in these terms affects those rights.

1. Our products

Prices are in pounds sterling and include any VAT due. The guide and toolkit don't include a domain name. For the done-for-you service, your quote shows the domain price separately. We charge it at the registrar's price with no mark-up. The domain is always registered in your name.

2. Buying and delivery

• Our checkout partners (such as Payhip or Etsy) take payment and deliver downloads. Their own terms also apply to the payment.
• You get the download link straight after payment. If it doesn't arrive, check your spam folder, then email us.
• When you buy through Etsy, Etsy's terms and policies also apply.

3. Cancelling a download

You normally have 14 days to cancel an online purchase. For digital content, that right ends once the download starts, but only if you have agreed to get the content straight away and accepted that you lose the right to cancel. We ask for both at checkout.

This doesn't affect your rights if a file is faulty. Digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If it isn't, email us and we will repair or replace it. If we can't, we'll give you a refund.

4. Licence for downloads

• You may use the files for yourself or your own business, on any of your devices, and print copies for your own use.
• You may not share, resell, upload or give away the files, or pass them off as your own work.
• We own the copyright in all Mailplate materials.

5. The done-for-you service

How it works

• You email us with what you need. We reply with a fixed quote that shows our fee and the domain price separately. A quote is valid for 14 days.
• When you accept, we send an order confirmation and an invoice. We start work once you've paid and have asked us to begin (see "Cancelling" below).
• We usually finish within 2 working days of payment, as long as you've done your part.

What's included

• One domain registered in your name for one year, and up to three email addresses on it, using Zoho Mail's free plan or Cloudflare forwarding with Gmail.
• DNS records for receiving mail, SPF, DKIM and DMARC, an inbox test, and a written handover note.
• We create the accounts and register the domain with your details. We send a temporary password through a one-time secure link (never by email), then move the domain into your own registrar account. You must change the password and add your own phone and recovery email straight away.

What's not included

• Domain renewals after the first year (you pay the registrar directly), moving old emails, websites, and paid email plans.
• Problems caused by outages at, or changes by, the registrar or email provider.

Cancelling

• You can cancel within 14 days of your order without giving a reason.
• If you ask us to start within those 14 days and then cancel, you pay for the work done so far, plus the cost of any domain already registered in your name, which can't be returned. You lose the right to cancel once the service is complete.
• If we can't finish because of a problem on our side, we refund you in full, apart from a domain already registered in your name, which stays yours.

6. Our responsibility to you

• We carry out the set-up service with reasonable care and skill.
• Email providers, registrars and their free plans belong to other companies, and they can change or withdraw them. We can't control them and aren't responsible for their changes.
• If we break these terms, we're responsible for loss or damage you could reasonably foresee, up to the amount you paid us. This limit doesn't apply to death or personal injury caused by our negligence, to fraud, or to anything else the law doesn't let us limit.
• We aren't responsible for business losses, such as lost profit or lost opportunity, if you use our products for business purposes.

7. Complaints

If you're unhappy, email [email protected]. We'll reply within 5 working days and try to put things right.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version that applies is the one on this page when you buy.

9. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring a claim in the courts of England and Wales, or, if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in the courts of where you live.
